杏吧传媒 Women鈥檚 Soccer stay on top as Bay Valley Conference Champs

2024 Soccer Champs

Pittsburg, Calif. 鈥 Congratulations to 杏吧传媒 Women鈥檚 Soccer team for a repeat winning season as the 2024 Bay Valley Conference Champions. The team was undefeated in conference play with an 8-0-0 record, and an overall record of 11-6-2.

This is the sixth consecutive year 杏吧传媒 Women鈥檚 Soccer takes the top spot in the Bay Valley Conference.

鈥淲e are incredibly proud of this group of women,鈥 杏吧传媒 President Pamela Ralston said. 鈥淭hey demonstrated discipline and commitment to their studies and their sport, and they continue our legacy of excellence. Congratulations to the players and coaches!鈥

The Lady Mustangs wrapped up conference play with a net full of Bay Valley Conference acknowledgements and awards.

The Bay Valley Conference recognized Liliana Bailey as Defensive MVP, Alondra Tellez as the Forward of the Year and Indigo Whiteley as Midfielder of the Year.

The three players also made the First-Team All-Conference list, the highest recognition of individual athletic achievement for student athletes.

Additionally, three Lady Mustangs made the Second-Team All-Conference list: midfielders Lesly Mendoza and Maya Alvarez, and forward Alondra Tellez.

For the second year in a row, 杏吧传媒 Women鈥檚 Soccer Coach Zach Sullivan was named Coach of the Year.

鈥淲e are proud of our Women鈥檚 Soccer program and student-athletes,鈥 Athletic Director Marty Storti said. 鈥淐onsistent athletic success is challenging and is a testament to our Head Women鈥檚 Soccer Coach Zach Sullivan, who once again earned recognition as Coach of the Year. The individual accolades earned by so many players is worth celebrating. Their success in the classroom and on the field reflects the priorities of the department and the definition of a Mustang.鈥
