DE is not shown, Occ. Ed. does not have a pilot planned for FA 06. Student Service info is out of date. Reorganize the timeline to reflect the 5 areas. There was a suggestion to capture department-level conversations about assessment. The grid should be circulated with additions in italics or color so that Myra and keep track of editions. We had a rambling brainstorming session with President Pete Garcia about who on campus should be responsible for providing feedback to departments on the SLO/assessment portion of program review. Comments/questions discussed included: What does a dean s signature on program review mean? Approval? Acknowledgment of reception of the document? Should committees review parts of program review that pertain to their charges? For example, Curriculum committee would review the curriculum portions; TLP the SLO/assessment portions, etc. If committees review parts of program review, what is the purpose? Review? Approval? Ascertaining campus-wide needs? We seem clear that we plan to provide support for departments as they develop PSLOs and assessment plans. There did not seem to be support amongst TLP members for putting TLP in the role of approving PSLOs or assessment plans. We will continue to meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 2-3:30 in room 409. 1h/ =!"#$%a jbjb,,,"&NN9 666666 :2 2444444,R,`6 ` 66 b 6 6 2 J$n6666 2 :,662 J$5 : 2x0R 2 6::d D:: Teaching and Learning Project Minutes May 16, 2006 Present: Kiran Kamath, Richard Livingston, Cindy McGrath, Gil Rodriguez, Myra Snell, Nancy Ybarra, Ed Bolds, Kirsten Martin, Delores McNair, Pam Perfumo, Cherry Li-Bugg Guests: Peter Garcia Approval of the Agenda and Minutes of May 2, 2006 Approved Approved Announcements and Updates Student Services Timeline: Does the new timeline accurately reflect our plans for fall?
