Minutes were taken by Margaret Hertstein. Public Comment and announcement. The deadline for the writing contest is Wednesday April 13th, remind your students. The agenda was approved with addition of item 3.5 to discuss the timeline for receiving the COOR for GE review by committee. The minutes from 3/11/11 were approved. 3.5. The COOR for GE review will be emailed as soon as possible for members to read. It is helpful to have all the COOR emailed together. Reading just the SLO you are responsible for will help get through the process, especially when there are several for review. GE Course Review: NOTE: These COOR will need to be updated in 2012. PSYCH-010 Passed with corrections. Sample essay topics were good just need to clarify rigor and writing. Articulate in the COOR what is happening in the class. Need to clarify writing assignment examples. Quizzes and Exams If these include essays it should be clarified. Cindy is getting all the results together. We will discuss this further. Report on GE natural science COORS meeting TITLE V criteria. Scott reviewed the courses in the BIOSC/PHYSC box and they all meet the criteria. Analyzing and Responding to FA10 Assessment Reports. For homework read through one of the reports and make comments about it. Our individual responses will help us decide how to proceed. Scott will give an email reminder before our next meeting.
