He implemented the suggestions and constructive criticisms from the previous review of this course. Suggestions and Comments Since reading is an important component of this course should it have an advisory of ENGL 100? Note It is not mandatory to hit all the PSLOs on the CSLOs. Outline is good and carefully aligned with PSLOs. Under assessments, take out activity unless it is assessed. i.e., students will also be required to work in teams in class and encouraged to work with others in the math lab and at home. If it is assessed, how? This course should be one of the models. ASTRO 10 Introduction to Astronomy Process Scott used the engineering sample from the website for part of his outline and the Art outline for others. The hardest part of him was thinking of vocabulary to satisfy what he wanted to convey. His advice is to follow the models provided for help. Suggestions and Comments Need to be eligible for at least ENGL 90 (ENGL 100 even better) as an advisory. Need schedule description. Note PSLOs can be updated in program review. Chart for Assessments is a very good and clear example. This course should be one of the models. BUS 35 Microsoft Office Process Betty wanted to try writing the outline on her own to see what it is like. Hardest part was the assessment criteria. Working back from grading rubric might help to write the CSLOs. Suggestions and Comments Advisories should have at least eligibility for ENGL 90 and maybe reference some computer skill? Math 35 outline may be of help as a model to follow for this course More data in the CSLOs different skills, different tools. Align the assessment criteria to the CSLOs. It would need to be 3 units should it ever become transferable. Suggestions and Comments CSLOs were too many and were activity and assignments. Go through and combine down to 5 or 6. Need to be broad. CSLO assessment criteria would be a good place to identify ACTFL scoring. CSLO assessment #2, identify the website and explain how they will compare.
