This information should be publicized through the academic senate, instruction sheet re COOR and in future workshops. Issues to consider are: Community relations - Communicating information to feeder schools Philosophical issue of open door access versus success. Make decisions based on research and data Effect on enrollment and transfer Should a sub-committee be formed to determine all the issues and facts to be considered and then present it to the Curriculum Committee at large? It was decided to table the topic of how to proceed (retreat or sub-group or further research first) to the first agenda of the committee in August. Self Evaluation of the Curriculum Committee Academic Senate has developed a form. Kiran will distribute the form when she receives it. Update from Shared Governance Council Representative Reported that the Tutoring Committee responsibilities are being transferred to the Reading/Writing Center.
