Evaluation results: Support for refreshments at meetings Limited participation by faculty in evaluation Reorganizing senate representation is considered. Every dept. doesnt have a senate rep attending Reorganizing representation is suggested often Suggestion: move representation to bylaws to facilitate reorganization and include reevaluations every 2 years Improved communication among faculty is recommended including better coordination with dept. chairs Request for agenda/newsletter earlier than 72 hours to better discuss with dept/area represented Suggestion: senators request regular reporting times at dept. meetings Bring back any additional feedback about evaluation next meeting.5DCommon Ground Mediation PresentationCommon Ground program offers two types of mediation/conflict resolution: (1) Mediator that comes to alleviate issues prior to lawsuits; (2) Coaching which is more proactive in addressing issues UC Davis program would like to present a pilot program for 1 hour at a future senate meeting to gather regarding faculty needs for a contract. Cost is unknown at this time. Culture often plays a role in conflict and Ӱɴý has a diverse population of employees. Mandate from Peter recommended council of elders to serve as mediators. Senate supported outside mediators for faculty on a biweekly drop-in basis but not council of elders. Senate also supported ethical principles/guidelines. Concerns: Common Ground may expect district contract What are other mediation options?5EStaff DevelopmentRuth Goodin will be coordinating at Ӱɴý with Peter Garcia. Next meeting will feature a presentation from Pete. 5FAuditingSenate previously considered auditing at Ӱɴý. No interest to pursue this issue at Ӱɴý.6Adjournment ;<=8 P Q n Q R S T U s t x | M²§yqeyey]yQh%6h5OJQJhOJQJh%6h6T5OJQJhsPOJQJh6TOJQJhYcZhFxHk`8A m r ʚl0vFxA xl`h^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohpp^p`OJQJo(hHh@ @ ^@ `OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohPP^P`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohpp^p`OJQJo(hHh@ @ ^@ `OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohPP^P`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJo(hHh ^`hH.h pLp^p`LhH.h @ @ ^@ `hH.h ^`hH.h L^`LhH.h ^`hH.h ^`hH.h PLP^P`LhH.h ^`hH.h ^`hH.h pLp^p`LhH.h @ @ ^@ `hH.h ^`hH.h L^`LhH.h ^`hH.h ^`hH.h PLP^P`LhH.h^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh ^`hH.h pLp^p`LhH.h @ @ ^@ `hH.h ^`hH.h L^`LhH.h ^`hH.h ^`hH.h PLP^P`LhH.h^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh ^`hH.h pLp^p`LhH.h @ @ ^@ `hH.h ^`hH.h L^`LhH.h ^`hH.h ^`hH.h PLP^P`LhH.hhh^h`OJQJo(hHh88^8`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJ^Jo(hHohxx^x`OJQJo(hHhHH^H`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHhhh^h`OJQJo(hHh88^8`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJ^Jo(hHohxx^x`OJQJo(hHhHH^H`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHhhh^h`OJQJo(hHh88^8`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJ^Jo(hHohxx^x`OJQJo(hHhHH^H`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh ^`hH.h pLp^p`LhH.h @ @ ^@ `hH.h ^`hH.h L^`LhH.h ^`hH.h ^`hH.h PLP^P`LhH.h^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohpp^p`OJQJo(hHh@ @ ^@ `OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohPP^P`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohpp^p`OJQJo(hHh@ @ ^@ `OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohPP^P`OJQJo(hHhhh^h`OJQJo(hHh88^8`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJ^Jo(hHohxx^x`OJQJo(hHhHH^H`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHhhh^h`OJQJo(hHh88^8`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJ^Jo(hHohxx^x`OJQJo(hHhHH^H`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHhhh^h`OJQJo(hHh88^8`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJo(hHh  ^ `OJQJ^Jo(hHohxx^x`OJQJo(hHhHH^H`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohpp^p`OJQJo(hHh@ @ ^@ `OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohPP^P`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJo(hHh ^`hH.h pLp^p`LhH.h @ @ ^@ `hH.h ^`hH.h L^`LhH.h ^`hH.h ^`hH.h PLP^P`LhH.h^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohpp^p`OJQJo(hHh@ @ ^@ `OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHohPP^P`OJQJo(hHh^`OJQJ^Jo(hHoh ^`hH.h pLp^p`LhH.h @ @ ^@ `hH.h ^`hH.h L^`LhH.h ^`hH.h ^`hH.h PLP^P`LhH.ca;qI^ m` IsA x r9{/ ;%zEZhl0v+WHeHk0L{EYsOY*Z4s                                                                                                                                       .hc}$w1%6sP _YX@IF@zqu@zEG O՜.+,0 hp  Ӱɴý$ N !ACADEMIC SENATE MEETING SUMMARY Title  !#$%&'()+,-./0123456789:;<=>?@ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTVWXYZ[\^_`abcdgRoot Entry F HiData "1Table* UWordDocument4BSummaryInformation(UDocumentSummaryInformation8]CompObjq  FMicrosoft Office Word Document MSWordDocWord.Document.89q
