Some UCs may prefer that our students have a local, 5.AA degree over the AAT. It was recommended that distinction will be done away with, state funded between funding formula and FTES, Budget Workshop in BRT and Pittsburg campus (below info), merit worksheet with data dictionary, adding more certificates and degrees, projection loss for the District, performance based than FTES, dual/concurrent enrollment, special admit students, students finishing first academic term, Communications and Questions (Administration and/or Faculty): College Administration: Enrollment Management S. Bearden shared the previous presentations to Senate by C. Hsieh and G. Stoup and officially agendize this as a First Read with Possible Action to approve Vision for Success Goals. As we as we are creating Strategic Plan as a District, we are being required to align our Strategic Goals with the States Vision for Success (States Strategic Goals). C. Hsieh presented the 5 Year Projection Goal 2021-2022 with 4 Indicators recommended to us by Greg Stoup. L. Giambattista gave an example of choices we can make; either 1A, 1B or both. The reason some of the choices are crossed off are due to the difficulty to pull out data for these particular items and the options provided can be easily tracked. Greg Stoup recommends to choose both since were already achieving both. Motion to approve Vision for Success Goals with recommendations both with 1A and 1B: - Approved (M/S; J. Townsend/J. Norman) 11 Votes, 0 Opposed and 1 Abstained - Point of Clarification by N. Ybarra recommendations meaning approving all 4 goals. J. Townsend and J. Bearden clarified. - Point of Clarification by M. Capes Where else is this being integrated so that we can actually meet these goals? - C. Motion to approve 1 year extension for L. Giambattista as Curriculum Chair Approved (M/S; M. Lewis/R. Erwin) Unanimous, 1 Abstained Employee Engagement Survey J. Bearden requested for feedback on Employee Engagement Survey Results by Classification and Comments. It was brought up that technology were one of the major concerns of faculty and in their classrooms; technology not working properly. Discussions were around results may not have true representation due to non-specific data, is there a plan to take it publicly, Senate to advocate for safety issues on campus (wifi not working and dark corridors, effective way of communicating on campus), dark corridors stories examples were shared, when there are concerns the action doesnt follow, finding resources and funding to make this campus a lot safer, being locked out to get back into the building after 10:00 p.m., need to fix security soon, having hot topics to put on table might get others more involved and wanting to get more involved, might also be initiative fatigue theres so much going on; people are doing other things and so much going on at one time, to form taskforce, representing our voices at meetings, TAG and Safety is this within the Senates purview to get reports from, have a forum on safety concerns, safety falls on deaf ears, not appropriate for Senate to completely take over these committees however if these are not working, the Senate can petition for college forum, take the document home, read through it and give feedback, tracking employee responses may give some idea of sender via date/time stamped. J. Bearden will contact the current Safety Committee Chair/Co-Chairs and request to appear in one of the Senate meetings. J. Bearden reached out to TAG committee and have not received any response. It was suggested for Senate to form a taskforce for Technology and taskforce for Safety based on what was discussed today. 10.Meeting adjourned 4:55 p.m. Ӱɴý Minutes of the Academic Senate PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 3 );IJZ[ghis$ 1 ?
