Cultural Curriculum Audit a SEA fund workshop is planned again, to reengaged/redesign classes for equitable and emphasize inclusiveness. It will be paid 20 non-instructional hours over a four-week period. The lead will recruit a minimum of participants the funds allow. Open Governance Positions Shared faculty open positions; CC Chair, TLC Chair, CSLO/PSLO Coordinator, 1 LPG, 1 CC (CTE), 1 Nexus Coordinator, 1 At-Large PT SS (ASC), 1 At-Large FT CTE (ASC) and DE Coordinator (applications closed Fri, Mar 11, we have applicants for DE. Graduation Senate Participation We have one faculty (Adrianna Simone) to read names at Graduation and we need one more faculty. 5.College Administration: District Technology Changes Satish Warrier shared a presentation regarding MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication). - MFA authenticates you with two pieces of information; existing password and OTP (one-time password) generated via SMS or app on phone. - IT changes are due to increase of ransomware, compromised accounts, repeated password use, insurance/auditors & CCC apply requirements. - Implementation will be done starting Monday, Mar 21st using 3 methods; text message via cell, Google Authenticator app, or IT device given. - Three phases will take place; Phase 1 Implement single sign-on (SSO) for all to see familiar log-in screen rather than Microsoft log-in page, Phase 2 We can make MFA optional (tentative Apr 2022), and Phase 3 Require MFA (after FALL 2022 census). - Future MFA Requirements: Colleague (Summer 2022), OnBase, Employee Self-Service (W2, Pay Advice, etc.), and other systems that hold PII. - If using Outlook 2016 or higher on PC/Mac, no configuration changes will be needed. If iOS or Android mobile, you will be directed for log-in. - MFA confirmation to be done every 90 days for Outlook on desktop, phone, and app and webmail has to be done every time using the device. Currently IT will do faculty & staff and eventually to students on Canvas. The password device (keychain) will be sent by District IT. Committee Update: GE met and discussed GE Spring 2022 Assessment (on agenda today). Ethnic Studies had a meeting and have a working draft for a department adding a financial section and suggested feedback. CC is reviewing instruction and will work with faculty on courses this Spring 2022. Course revisions and proposal deadline is on September 2022. M. Lynn will be doing variable flex later in Spring for those who want to work on course revisions and eLumen related to CC. CC still need CTE faculty rep. SGC met last week, passed Program Discontinuance Policy (Senate previously approved), however made one amendment, that there should be a classified representation on the committee. Also discussed was a proposal to approve RAP funding for Brentwood Center (BRT). BRT RAP was postponed due to flood and late opening of the BRT. J. Saito will be sending out feedbacks to get suggestions especially from BRT faculty and added, its really important to represent faculty at the table. It was asked if we can request RAP rationale for funding similar to what we used to receive. J. Saito will include with her email the link to RAP that includes all rationales. It was suggested to bring back RAP discussions and process in Senate future meetings. It was noted C. Montoya did bring RAP funded proposals to Senate last year however it was done after approvals. M. Lewis asked if Senate should be involved in the process prior to ranking and approvals; N.
